ICCD Speckle Observations of Binary Stars.XV.An Investigation of Lunar Occultation Systems Abstract image available at:http://adsabs.harvard.edu/cgi-bin/nph-bib_query?1996AJ....112.2260M&db_key=AST
| KPNO lunar occultation summary. I The results of a program to photoelectrically record lunar occultationsat KPNO are described. The program emphasizes the observation of knownor suspected double/multiple stars as well as the observation of starswith resolvable angular diameters.
| Photoelectric observations of lunar occultations. XIII Occultation observations made with the 0.76 m reflector at McDonaldObservatory are presented, for 319 events occurring between Jan. 15,1981 and Feb. 7, 1982. One table reports timings, and a second recordsobservations of 16 double stars, in particular, Nu Gem observationsreveal that the two close components are similar in color. This allowsan estimation of individual visible magnitudes (near 4.60 and 5.32)suggesting that the secondary is a late B-type main-sequence star. SAO158929 observations reveal systematic differences in angular diametervalues. Of the 16 observed double stars, 9 appear to be new discoveries, including SAO 93067, SAO 94595, and SAO 98770. A third table gives fullydarkened angular diameters for the stars SAO 158929, SAO 77516 Y Tau,and SAO 119035 Nu Vir.

| Composite spectrum stars susceptible to lunar occultation The use of lunar occultations to detect close double stars has becomeroutine practice. Since a number of composite spectrum stars havealready been noted as double by occultation observers, an additionallist, complementary to those of Herr, of potential occultation doublesshould be useful. To this end, the paper examines the stars from fivegeneral studies of composites for their susceptibility to lunaroccultation. An identification list of 68 composite spectrum starssusceptible to lunar occultation is presented. Predicted times offavorable occultation events are given for several of the faintercandidates.
